Sister David Ann, Secretary of HDCofHR, was acknowledged by the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, Inc. as a 2011 Local Hero awardee through its Neighborhood Excellence Initiative. Each awardee received $5,000; Sister David Ann donated the money to the Housing Development Corporation of Hampton Roads.
