Thursday, June 27, 2018 was a RED LETTER day for HDCofHR; it purchased a 3-bedroom townhouse in Newport News.  HDCofHR now owns 26 units of housing including a 13-unit apartment building, a duplex and 11 single-family houses, providing quality, affordable rental housing to low-income individuals and families.  This purchase was made possible through a $20,000 grant and $10,000 in additional funds from the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters Foundation and a $10,000 grant from Huntington Ingalls Industries.
